What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator position at Superior Skilled Trades?
Seeking an Estimator with concrete experience for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Hyattsville, MD.
This position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental and 401k!
Salary is between $95,000 - $140,000 per year (based on experience)
Responsibilities:
- Conducting project walkthroughs with clients and meticulously intake project scope details
- Preparing takeoffs from plan sets and estimating the cost of jobs
- Presenting detailed bids (including written scope of work) for submission
- Attending inspections (city or public works) as required
- Coordinating with Foreman and Project Manager to discuss project goals, roadblocks, and alterations in project scopes
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 5 years of in-field masonry and concrete experience (in commercial sector)
- 5 years of concrete estimating experience including take off
- Experience with Plan Swift, Bluebeam and Excel
- Expert knowledge of the trade preferred, including block, brick, stone, stucco, concrete, tile, grading, machine work, precast, repointing, drainage, waterproofing, and blueprints.
