Construction Laborer

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking General Laborers for an immediate start in Fort Meade, MD.

LONG-TERM PROJECT | OVERTIME AVAILABLE | $25/HR

· PAY: $25.00/hr. with overtime pay at $37.50/hr.

· HOURS: Expected shifts will be days starting at 7:00 AM, with the potential for additional hours.

· SCHEDULE: Expected work will be Monday–Friday, approximately 40 hours per week. Some weekends may be required.

· START DATE: ASAP

· DURATION: Temp-to-hire position.

General Laborer Job Description:

General Laborers will support construction activities on a military base at Fort Meade, MD. Responsibilities include hand digging, assisting the foreman with daily construction tasks, using hand tools, and maintaining a clean and organized job site. There is potential for work at an additional location in Washington, DC.

Qualifications for General Laborer:

· Must have a valid OSHA 10 certification.

· Previous general labor or construction experience is preferred.

· Experience with hand digging, hand tools, and general job site cleanup is preferred.

· Must be able to safely use hand tools and required PPE.

· Must be able to perform physically demanding work, including prolonged standing, bending, crouching, digging, and lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted.

· Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

· Position requires the use of PPE, including a hard hat, safety vest/hi-vis, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots.

Additional Requirements for General Laborer:

· Must be authorized to work in the United States.

· Must have reliable transportation to the job site.

· Must meet the military installation's identification, background screening, and site access requirements.

· Applicants will be subject to required pre-employment background screening and drug testing.
