Sr. Project Manager – Commercial Construction
We are seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized construction project manager to join our growing team. In this position, you will develop and oversee multiple ongoing jobs, coordinate subcontractor personnel, and manage the overall construction process.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage commercial new construction & remodel projects for a multi-state licensed commercial general contractor
- Define project scope, develop, and update detailed budgets, cost estimates, schedule of values, and submittals
- Coordinate, plan, and manage schedules for contractors and subcontractors
- Develop construction project with the architect, engineers, client, and other involved parties
- Maintain meticulous records, including contracts, revisions, and progress reports
- Order and manage materials, equipment, & subcontractors
- Developing ongoing relations with customers, vendors, and subcontractors to bring projects on budget while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction
- Respond to delays, change orders, or budget overruns with immediate, effective solutions.
- Travel to jobsites for assessments and site visits
- Pull permits, manage building and safety codes, safety inspections, and local/state/federal regulations are met as well as any other guidelines
- Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and clients
- Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
- Assist with job close-out documentation and invoicing
- Assist with the implementation of Project Management & Estimating Software
Requirements & Qualifications
- 5 years of commercial construction management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- Valid Louisiana Class D Driver’s License or the ability to obtain
- Proficient in Project Manager Software, i.e. Project Sight, Procore, Red Team, etc.
- Proficient in MS Office, Excel, & MS Project, and Cost estimating
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Ability to problem solve, multitask, and meet strict deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to respond effectively and professionally to time-sensitive inquiries
- Goal-oriented and organized leadership
- Self-motivated and self-directed
