About the Position
Superior Remodeling is seeking an experienced, skilled, dependable Residential Remodeler to join our team.
We specialize in residential renovations, including kitchen and bathroom remodeling, complete basement remodeling and finishing, interior improvements, and general home renovations.
We are looking for a well-rounded remodeling professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship, pays close attention to detail, and can complete assigned projects efficiently with minimal supervision.
This position is for an experienced remodeler, not an entry-level construction laborer.
Primary Responsibilities
Bathroom and Kitchen Remodeling
- Perform complete bathroom and kitchen renovations.
- Install and replace vanities, cabinets, fixtures, and trim.
- Install ceramic and porcelain floor and wall tile.
- Perform shower remodeling, including waterproofing systems and tile installation.
- Complete demolition and preparation work for renovations.
Complete Basement Remodeling and Finishing
- Perform full basement renovations, remodeling, and finishing projects.
- Frame basement walls, partitions, and room layouts.
- Install insulation, drywall, and ceiling systems.
- Install flooring, interior doors, baseboards, and trim.
- Complete basement bathroom installations and remodeling.
- Perform painting, finishing, and detailed interior work.
- Work from initial demolition and framing through final finishing and project completion.
Carpentry and General Remodeling
- Perform framing and general finish carpentry.
- Install interior and exterior doors and windows.
- Install baseboards, crown molding, and other trim.
- Repair and replace damaged framing and structural components within the scope of assigned work.
Drywall and Painting
- Install, tape, mud, and finish drywall.
- Perform drywall repairs and match existing textures.
- Prepare surfaces and complete professional interior painting.
- Apply caulking and sealants for clean, finished installations.
Flooring and Other Skills
- Install laminate, luxury vinyl plank, and other residential flooring.
- Perform basic plumbing-related remodeling tasks within applicable licensing requirements.
- Electrical knowledge and experience are a plus.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of verifiable, hands-on residential remodeling experience.
- Proven experience with bathroom and kitchen renovations.
- Proven experience in complete basement remodeling and finishing, including framing, drywall, flooring, and finish work.
- Strong skills in carpentry, drywall finishing, flooring, and tile installation.
- Ability to read measurements accurately and use construction tools proficiently.
- Ability to complete assigned remodeling tasks independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to unexpected job-site conditions.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and professional conduct.
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively with other team members.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to perform the physical duties of residential remodeling work, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience installing tiled walk-in showers and waterproofing systems.
- Experience with Schluter shower systems.
- Advanced finish carpentry skills.
- Experience completing multiple phases of a remodeling project.
- Experience completing full basement finishing projects from initial framing through final finishes.
