Job Summary:
The Yard & Warehouse Associate plays a key role in maintaining an efficient, organized, and customer‑focused operation. This position supports the flow of materials in and out of the facility, ensures accurate documentation, and assists customers and drivers during loading and unloading. The role requires strong attention to detail, physical capability, and comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Responsibilities:
Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments, including construction materials, tools, and equipment
Pull, stage, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently
Inspect, verify, and process incoming materials; enter inventory into the system
Stock, organize, label, and replenish inventory in yard and warehouse areas
Assist with intercompany transfers, ensuring proper documentation and tracking
Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely
Keep the yard and warehouse organized, clean, and compliant with safety standards
Provide excellent customer service to contractors, drivers, and internal teams
Communicate with internal teams to support smooth daily operations
Perform additional duties as assigned to support efficient branch operations and team success.
Qualifications:
Forklift operation experience required
Prior experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, or yard operations preferred
Knowledge of construction materials preferred
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform physical work in all weather conditions
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
