What are the responsibilities and job description for the Precast Concrete Plant Operator position at Superior Precast Concrete?
Job Summary:
Superior Precast Concrete is seeking skilled and entry level precast concrete production workers. We work in a modern facility with automated concrete batching equipment and use machinery to do the heavy lifting, allowing employees to work safely and efficiently. Our precast concrete facility offers employees a balance of working indoors and outdoors year-round, regardless of weather conditions. The ideal candidate will be motivated, willing to learn, and grow with our business of producing quality precast concrete products. Experience in concrete is not required, we provide training for candidates who demonstrate the desire to learn a valuable skill. We offer flexible time off for all major summertime holidays, during the week of Thanksgiving, hunting season, Christmas, and New Years for employees who prefer to spend time with family or friends.
Responsibilities:
Support and promote the expectation that Safety, Quality, Efficiency, and Customer Satisfaction are all treated equally and report any deviations.
Perform daily inspection and preventative maintenance of equipment, tools and overall cleanliness of the precast plant and surrounding grounds.
Assist with loading bins and silo, preparing materials, and organizing for efficient production.
Fabrication of concrete reinforcement.
Strip and prepare forms, place reinforcing, prepare forms for placement of concrete, and execute each production step while maintaining focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
Support daily inventory and quality efforts associated with raw materials, supplies, and finished products.
Assist with unloading of raw materials and supplies.
Utilize power tools for cutting, shaping, and drilling concrete.
Assist in the development of new products and production techniques.
Maintain a clean work environment, including removal of aggregate in the pit and around the bins, cleaning of the mixer and surrounding area, correction of walking and working surface hazards, and overall professional appearance of the building interior and surrounding grounds.

Pay: $20.00 - $27.50 per hour
