Job Summary
Dock & Lift Installer / Assembler
Zachmeier MFG is looking for a motivated, dependable individual to join our team as a Dock & Lift Installer / Assembler. This position involves assembling, installing, and servicing boat docks, boat lifts, and related waterfront equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and install docks, boat lifts, and accessories
- Operate equipment including skid steers, forklifts, cranes, and service vehicles
- Safely load, unload, and transport materials
- Work from boats and around water in various weather conditions
- Perform service, repairs, and maintenance on docks and lifts
- Read and follow assembly instructions and work orders
- Communicate professionally with customers on job sites
- Work closely with team members to complete projects efficiently
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications:
- Previous mechanical, construction, agricultural, manufacturing, or equipment operation experience preferred
- Ability to operate or learn to operate cranes and heavy equipment
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to tow trailers (CDL is a plus but not required)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated and dependable
- Comfortable working outdoors and around water
- Ability to lift 75 pounds repeatedly
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Preferred Experience:
- Welding or fabrication experience
- Hydraulic, electrical, or marine equipment knowledge
- Crane operation experience
- Customer service experience
