What are the responsibilities and job description for the Janitorial Team Member position at Superior Maintenance Co.?
SUMMARY: Responsible for the overall cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance of the facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES: Includes, but not limited to, the following.
- Ensure safety by using correct safety postings and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when needed.
- Clean restrooms, (empty trash receptacles, fill dispensers, sweep, mop floors, clean glass, sinks and toilets).
- Dust mop.
- Detail restrooms.
- Clean vents and fixtures in restrooms.
- Dust and clean entrance door thresholds, frames, and edging.
- Perform other similar and related duties as assigned by the Group Leader.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English.
REASONING: Ability to apply common understanding to carry out uninvolved written and oral instructions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close, distance and color vision.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts outside weather conditions, and extreme heat. The noise level in the environment is usually loud.
