Furniture & Appliance Delivery – Owner Operator / Independent Contractor

Location: Columbus, Ohio
Service Area: Columbus and surrounding areas

About the Role:

A fast-growing logistics provider is seeking experienced Owner-Operators to handle full-service home delivery, including furniture, mattresses, and appliances. This is a hands-on opportunity for driven professionals ready to take control of their income and operate their own truck daily.

To be eligible, you must be actively working on the truck and provide your own delivery assistant/helper.

What to Expect:

• Daily routes averaging 10–14 stops, delivering a variety of home goods
• White-glove delivery and setup of items such as:
• Furniture (sofas, sectionals, beds, dining sets, etc.)
• Mattresses and adjustable bases
• Major household appliances (refrigerators, dishwashers, ovens, washers, dryers, etc.)
• Professional in-home placement and basic installation where applicable
• Use of a mobile routing app for tracking, documentation, and customer updates
• Focus on providing 5-star service with a professional appearance, clear communication, and attention to customer satisfaction
• Performance-based bonus opportunities available

Requirements:

• Own, lease, or rent a 26-ft box truck with liftgate
• Must be physically working on the truck and provide a qualified helper
• Experience with home delivery of furniture, mattresses, or appliances is required
• Valid DOT Medical Card and Driver’s License
• Professional customer service and communication skills
• Ability to safely handle, lift, and maneuver heavy and bulky items
• Must meet the following insurance and compliance standards:
• Active Ohio BWC (or equivalent workers’ compensation coverage)
• Completed W-9 form and ACH authorization form
• Commercial Insurance:
• $1M Commercial Auto (Combined Single Limit)
• $1M/$2M General Liability
• $2M Commercial Umbrella
• $40K Cargo Insurance

Income Potential:

• Estimated annual gross: $180,000 – $255,000 (based on delivery volume and mix)
• Estimated daily gross: $700 – $1,000 (depending on volume and stop type)
