Landscape Technician

Overview

Part time position that will transition into full time. Looking for a potential Forman to join our dynamic team as a fast growing Landscape company and play a vital role in creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor environments! You will transition into a leader managing and running crews.

Duties

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, planting, and mulching to ensure healthy and attractive grounds
• Operate grounds maintenance and landscaping equipment such as power tools, excavators, and snow plows safely and efficiently
• Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinkler setups to optimize water use
• Identify plants and trees to properly care for them and execute tree trimming or removal as needed
• Apply pesticides responsibly following safety protocols to protect plants from pests and diseases
• Install hardscape features like walkways, retaining walls, or patios to enhance landscape aesthetics
• Conduct routine grounds inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure safety compliance

Requirements

• Valid Drivers License
• No Felony convictions
• Good moral Character
• Proven outdoor work experience with knowledge of landscaping practices and grounds maintenance techniques
• Mechanical knowledge of power tools, hand tools, irrigation systems, and landscaping equipment operation
• Ability to identify various plants, trees, and horticultural elements with confidence
• Familiarity with pesticide management procedures and safety protocols adherence
• Construction experience or familiarity with hardscape installation is a plus
• Strong understanding of lawn care practices including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aeration
• Ability to operate a truck and trailer
• Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive approach to safety and quality standards
