Overview
We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Janitors to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with an emphasis on both residential and commercial cleaning standards.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, and waxing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained.
- Execute industrial cleaning tasks in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Assist with facilities maintenance duties as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Provide porter services by managing waste disposal and maintaining cleanliness in common areas.
- Engage in residential painting projects when required to enhance the aesthetic appeal of facilities.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and report any maintenance issues promptly to management.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Experience
- Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices, industrial cleaning techniques, and floor care is advantageous.
- Skills in facilities maintenance, buffing, and porter services will be considered a plus.
- A strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential for success in this role.
