What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inspector - Superior Inspection Services, LLC - Broussard, LA position at Superior Inspection Services?
The Inspector will perform visuals, mechanical and non-destructive examination and test of all equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and direct daily job duties with Inspector Helpers
- Train, direct, and oversee Inspector Helpers on job related duties
- Maintain accurate reporting on equipment being inspected
- Ensure that all specs and procedures are adhered to
- Ensure that equipment used for inspection is in good working condition and calibrated
- Read and interpret specifications and procedures
- Interpret and record results of inspection and tests. Assign status to productions based on interpretations. Determine utility of equipment
- Perform and record nondestructive examination using ultrasonic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, and visual methods
- Perform sampling of applicable processes. Prepare and conduct appropriate tests and inspections on samples, as applicable
- Follow and adhere to all Quality System and HS&E requirements
- Communicate job status with Facility Inspection Manager and all parties involved
Minimum Requirements:
- Certified as an ASNT Level II in NDT methods
- Knowledge of inspection methods and techniques
- Knowledge of various drilling and production equipment to be inspected
- Valid U.S. drivers license
Education:
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent work related experience
