POSITION SUMMARY
This position reports to the Manager, Corporate Accounting and is responsible for various monthly reporting and close responsibilities including journals, reconciliations and analytical reporting processes for Superior Industries International. This role serves as a key team member of Corporate Accounting team and acts as part of strategic partnership with Superior Finance, Treasury, Shared Service Accounting Center, Human Resources, and Internal/External auditors.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
· Reports to Manager, Corporate Accounting
LOCATION
Southfield, Michigan
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare monthly journal entries for multiple balance sheet and income statement accruals
- Prepare multiple accurate balance sheet account reconciliations, and ensure all other North America reconciliations are completed on a timely basis
- Manage and coordinate the monthly intercompany reconciliation process across multiple entities, ensuring balances are accurate, timely, and fully resolved.
- Assist in external audits, internal audits, SOC-1 and tax information requests
- Drive continuous process improvements, including working cross-functionally to create repeatable, consistent best practices
- Special Projects as needed.
Specific duties and challenges include:
· Strong Excel skills, ERP systems experience
· Ability to learn new IT systems easily
· Hyperion or BPC experience a plus
· Automotive and / or manufacturing experience preferred
· US GAAP technical accounting acumen
· Results oriented with the ability to solve problems by developing and implementing solutions
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Proactive communication of financial implications to internal customers and stakeholders of contemplated transactions, system changes
QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
· 2-5 years of accounting experience
· Proven track record of accomplishments within the Finance or Accounting functions
· Exposure to international operations a plus
Salary : $90,000 - $105,000
