At Superior Hospice, we know that therapy animals offer unmatched comfort during life’s most vulnerable moments. We’re seeking certified therapy animal teams to provide care that goes beyond words for patients on hospice services.
Your Role Includes:
- Making one-on-one visits with patients throughout the Twin Cities area
- Coordinating with our volunteer coordinator to schedule visits that support clinical care
- Creating a serene, joyful experience using the therapeutic power of your certified pet
- Sharing observations with the care team to enrich understanding of patient needs
- Representing our values of dignity, connection, and innovation
Volunteer Requirements:
- Active certification of your therapy animal through a nationally recognized program
- Applicants need to be at least 18 years old
- Understanding of hospice’s emotional landscape and end-of-life sensitivities
- Training completion in hospice protocol and volunteer ethics
- Ability to travel to various locations in your selected area
