What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Operator/Material Handler position at Superior Grain Equipment?
Typical schedule is Monday-Thursday 7a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (Busy season will include Fridays)
The Forklift Operator/Material Handler is responsible for maintaining inventory in an assigned department by loading and unloading pallets of metal products with a forklift.
Essential Job Functions:
- Efficiently and accurately load and unload of products and supplies operating a forklift
- Ensure the proper and safe loading and unloading of products for easy accessibility
- Load and unload of trailers
- Assist with maintaining an organized and clean warehouse
- Proper packing, labeling, and tagging of the inventory
- Conducting cycle counts of inventory
Qualifications:
- 2 years of forklift operation experience preferred
- Ability to multi-task, handle multiple priorities and work in a repetitive and fast-paced environment
- Ability to work outdoors routinely
