Seafood Processing Technician
The Seafood Processing Technician will be responsible for the daily operations and duties in the Aquaculture processing portion of Superior Fresh, processing Atlantic salmon for consumption. They also will be responsible for assisting in stocking fish for harvest, and other auxiliary aquaculture tasks. All operations will be done in accordance with the company HACCP/food safety plans, strict biosecurity measures, safety requirements, and Standard Operating Procedures.

Job Functions
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices in daily tasks and activities to produce Atlantic Salmon per specifications for our customers.
- Comply with and enforce company safety requirements, biosecurity measures, HACCP and food safety plans, and standard operating procedures related to all tasks.
- Harvest stocked fish to meet bio-plan requirements and sales demands.
- Process head-on-gutted Salmon to meet sales demands; including but not limited to filleting, pinning, skinning, packing, and labeling.
- Package and prepare customer orders for shipment following safe food handling and packaging protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions of equipment and facilities in processing and aquaculture areas.
- Execute environmental and other quality assurance testing.
- Ensure all company record keeping, data entry, product organization, and product tracking activities and tasks are done in accordance with food safety requirements and standard operating procedures.
- Support the grading, stocking and moving of fish throughout the facility which will include netting and transporting fish via portable tank and pallet jack, use of piping systems, etc.
- Relay information regarding issues with system operation, general issues, or product concerns to the Processing Supervisor.
- Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
- Manage product quality, monitor food safety, automation, OSHA compliance, and maintain workflow.
Job Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
Experience:
- Fish filleting experience, preferred.
- Food processing (or related) work experience and/or knowledge, preferred.
Licenses or Certifications: Seafood HACCP certification, preferred.

Schedule Expectations
