Job Description: Heater
The Heater is a member of our Forging Department responsible for establishing, monitoring, and maintaining heating/treating cycles to achieve specified hardness requirements. Heathers in the Forge department start at $23.20 an hour. with .50 pr hr increases every 6 months until the established top rate of pay is achieved. Some training for this role will be done on 1st shift before employee is transitioned to 2nd or 3rd shift. Additional Paid Relief Days, $1,000 SIGN ON BONUS (Paid in increments throughout the first year of continued employment), and this position is eligible for the Production Incentive Program.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Observing company policies, procedures, work instructions and standards.
- Observing safety policies, procedures, work instructions and standards.
- Timely, accurate and neat documentation of daily production.
- Housekeeping in department work areas and company living areas.
- Preventative maintenance on furnaces.
- Timely reporting of equipment problems and issues.
- Reporting all deviations from production specification
- Inspection of furnaces prior to heat-treat cycles.
- Setup of furnaces prior to and during heat-treat cycles, i.e. cooling fans for cycle segments.
- Operation of furnaces.
- Monitoring furnaces and maintaining specified heat-treat cycles.
- Assisting with ingot stripping and receipt of ingots in forging department as required.
- Receipt and shipment of in-process rolls as required.
- Operation of remote crane as required.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Previous foundry experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be able to work any shift, including some weekends
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 60-80lbs.
- Must be capable of standing for long periods of time
- Exposed to seasonal temperature changes
- Manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and vibration
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Eligible upon hire: Company paid safety shoes and prescription safety glasses with a reimbursement after 90-days.
