SFI is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our growing Finance Team in our Watsonville headquarters. This position is responsible for assisting the Accounts Payable team with accounting and clerical tasks to ensure transactions are processed efficiently and accurately. This position has growth potential to become an Accounts Payable Specialist in 1-2 years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately and efficiently enter data into accounting system
- Reconcile invoice register against invoices to verify correct entry of vendor codes, GL accounts, and payment terms and amounts
- Assist with weekly check runs and maintain check register spreadsheet
- Reconcile statements, create reports, and record daily totals
- Maintain electronic and hard copy A/P files, including invoices, vendor payments, and registers
- Assist with audits and special projects as needed
Required Skills and Experience:
- Associate's Degree in Accounting or 1 years Accounts Payable experience
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish a plus
- Microsoft Office and Excel proficiency required; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and/or Adobe Acrobat a plus
- High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail with excellent follow through
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet competing deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compensation and Benefits:
The target hiring range for this position is: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour. Compensation is based on a variety of relevant factors, including prior work experience, skills, professional qualifications, and internal pay equity.
