Position Summary
We are seeking a Manager of Application Support and Development to lead the support, administration, and enhancement of critical business applications across our environmental services organization.
This role will oversee a small team of developers and system administrators responsible for maintaining and improving key platforms including NetSuite, Salesforce, and Domo.
The ideal candidate brings a strong mix of people leadership, application management, business process improvement, and hands-on technical understanding. This person will partner closely with operations, finance, sales, customer service, and executive leadership to ensure enterprise applications are stable, efficient, scalable, and aligned with business goals.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Lead and develop a small team of application developers and administrators, providing direction, coaching, and performance management.
- Own the day-to-day support, enhancement, and long-term roadmap for core business systems, with primary focus on NetSuite, Salesforce, and Domo.
- Ensure timely resolution of application issues, user support requests, and system-related escalations.
- Manage application priorities, team workload, and project delivery across support, maintenance, and development activities.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand operational needs and translate them into system improvements and technical solutions.
- Drive process optimization and system integration efforts to improve efficiency, data accuracy, and reporting capabilities.
- Oversee configuration, customization, testing, deployment, and documentation for system enhancements.
- Establish and maintain application governance, support procedures, change management practices, and development standards.
- Monitor system performance, data integrity, security, and user adoption across supported platforms.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors, consultants, and implementation partners as needed.
- Support reporting, dashboarding, and analytics initiatives to provide business insight and operational visibility.
- Identify opportunities to better leverage enterprise applications to support growth, scalability, and service excellence.
Education and Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in enterprise application support, administration, or development.
- 2 years of leadership or team management experience.
- Strong experience with one or more of the following platforms, with exposure to all preferred: NetSuite, Salesforce, and Domo.
- Experience leading or supporting small technical teams in a business-facing environment.
- Strong understanding of business systems, workflows, integrations, and data management.
- Experience managing support queues, enhancement requests, and application-related projects.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
Preferred
- Experience in an environmental services, field services, logistics, industrial services, or similarly operations-driven business.
- Familiarity with ERP, CRM, business intelligence, and integration platforms.
- Experience with system implementations, upgrades, and process transformation initiatives.
- Knowledge of reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and operational analytics.
- Experience with vendor management and cross-functional project leadership.
- Relevant platform certifications in NetSuite, Salesforce, or Domo are a plus.
