We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Office Nurse to join our Privately Owned Specialty Practice team. Duties
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and medical history and document using an electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Assist providers with procedures using sterile techniques when needed, while maintaining strict adherence to infection control protocols.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed guidelines when needed.
- Coordinate patient care activities such as triage, discharge planning, and case management for diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Provide patient education on health coaching topics such as medication management, pain control, nutrition, and chronic disease management.
- Maintain detailed medical records ensuring accuracy in ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), medical documentation, and compliance with NCQA standards.
Requirements
- Valid nursing license with current registration; experience working within a medical office environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient record management.
- Demonstrated experience in diverse clinical settings.
- Knowledge of advanced nursing procedures.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient assessment and education.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
