We are seeking a skilled and dependable Field Service Technician in the Southern Colorado area to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment and diesel-powered machinery in the field. This position requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently while representing the company professionally at customer job sites.
The ideal candidate is safety-focused, self-motivated, organized, and capable of
efficiently managing field service calls with minimal supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
· Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, air systems, and mechanical components on heavy equipment and trucks
· Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on customer equipment
· Troubleshoot equipment failures in the field and determine appropriate repairs
· Read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and diagnostic software
· Complete work orders, service reports, inspection forms, and required paperwork accurately and timely
· Communicate repair findings and recommendations clearly with customer and management
· Maintain company service truck inventory, tools, and cleanliness
· Operate diagnostic software, laptops, scan tools
· Respond to emergency breakdowns and service calls as needed
· Ensure repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards
· Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA/MSHA requirements where applicable
· Maintain professionalism and positive customer relationships at all times
QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum of five years of diesel mechanic experience preferred
· Experience with heavy equipment, construction equipment, mining equipment, trucks, or industrial machinery preferred
· Strong knowledge of:

o Air brake systems
o Diagnostics and troubleshooting
· Ability to work independently in field environments
· Strong time management and organizational skills
· Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
· Valid driver's license required
· CDL preferred but not required
· Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
· Ability to work outdoors varying weather conditions
· Ability to climb, kneel, crouch, and work in confinded spaces
· Ability to work extended hours and overtime when necessary
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position primarily works in field environments including construction sites, mines,
industrial facilities, and customer locations. Conditions may include exposure
to dirt, grease, noise, vibration, and varying weather conditions.
