What are the responsibilities and job description for the Externship with Criminal Division position at Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco?
The San Francisco Superior Court Criminal Division’s legal research department is accepting applications from law students interested in an externship for Fall, Spring, or Summer.
Externs will be responsible for performing legal research assignments and drafting memoranda regarding criminal law issues under the supervision of the Criminal Division’s staff attorneys and legal research attorneys. Externs will work at the Court’s Hall of Justice 850 Bryant Street location. The externship will provide students with the opportunity to observe hearings at the Hall of Justice.
20 hour per week minimum commitment is required during the school year.
30 hour per week minimum commitment is required during the Summer.

- Please specify if you are interested in a Fall, Spring, or Summer externship and indicate the hours you are available per week.
If you are interested in an externship for the Fall semester, please submit your materials by June 30th. If you are interested in an externship for the Spring semester, please submit your materials by November 15th. If you are interested in an externship for the Summer, please submit your materials by March 31st.
