ABOUT THE POSITION

The Judicial and Administrative Support II serves a critical support role, providing high-level support to a Supervising District Judge, Juvenile Supervising Judicial Officer, Judicial Officers at assigned locations, or senior administrators overseeing districtwide or multi-function operations. This role tackles complex administrative work, driving research, analysis, and solution-focused recommendations that help address organizational challenges with real impact. Incumbents are entrusted with highly sensitive and confidential information and are expected to handle it with exceptional discretion, professionalism, and integrity. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

To qualify, you must meet one of the following options at the final filing date of this bulletin:


OPTION I: 60 semester (90 quarter) units* from an accredited college or university - AND - four (4) years of increasingly responsible administrative support experience.**


OPTION II: Five (5) years of increasingly responsible administrative support experience.**

**Responsible administrative support experience is defined as independent performance of moderately complex administrative tasks requiring accuracy, sound judgment, and accountability.


Note: Credit for experience is based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited on a pro rate basis (e.g. working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience). Overtime does not count toward additional credit.


DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of Court organization, functions, rules, policies and procedures applicable to assigned areas of responsibility.

  • Advanced applied knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database and other standard software to create complex documents and materials.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to organize, set priorities and exercise sound judgment within areas of responsibility.

  • Demonstrated professionalism and strong interpersonal skills.
