Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator / Project Manager to join our team and drive the successful planning and execution of construction projects. Projects include Commercial, Civil, and Residential Construction in various applications, so familiarity with all scopes of construction is important.
In this role, you will be at the forefront of project estimation, cost control, and project coordination, ensuring that each project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your expertise will help shape our projects from initial bid through completion, fostering strong client relationships and ensuring operational excellence.
The ideal candidate is also capable of selling projects directly to customers and representing the company in a professional and positive manner.
This position includes a standard salary and bonuses, along with health insurance, 401k and matching options.
Duties
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive construction estimates using industry-standard tools, incorporating detailed quantity takeoffs, pricing, and cost analysis.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocations to ensure timely delivery while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Lead negotiations with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to secure favorable terms, pricing, and contracts that align with project goals.
- Oversee all aspects of construction estimating and project management, including scope development, risk assessment, and change order management.
- Coordinate with construction site teams to gather on-the-ground insights, monitor progress, and address any issues related to cost control or schedule adjustments.
- Manage contract administration processes, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and project specifications.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating combined with hands-on construction site experience to understand field conditions thoroughly.
- Strong proficiency in document management and markup review.
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.
- Knowledge of construction management principles, including cost control, scheduling, and quality assurance.
- Familiarity with contracts law related to construction projects to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Experience with construction estimating software or equivalent tools is highly desirable.
