The ideal candidate should be a detail-oriented, self-starter with experience preparing estimates for security and commercial voice and data solutions. Objectives
- Create accurate and competitive estimates and quotations for security systems projects.
- Complete site walkthroughs and participate in pre-bid meetings to determine and document bid requirements and job site conditions
- Prepare estimates that meet project requirements and industry standards
- Develop bill of material, obtain distributor pricing, and calculate labor to produce estimates
- Detail scope of work based on designs and proposal specifications and coordinate with business development team to prepare comprehensive proposal materials
- Provide sales and technical staff with support on both a pre- and post-sales basis including attending project meetings and job sites as needed.
- Competencies
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of all phases of security systems including Card Access, cameras, and intrusion systems. Genetec – Verkada – Axis – Avigilon –
- Ability to read blueprints and specifications to produce accurate estimates.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturers and products such as Genetec – Verkada – Axis.
- Experience reading and understanding blueprints and system schematic diagrams.
- Strong understanding of job material and labor forecasting
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Bluebeam is preferred
- BICSI and RCDD certification is a plus
- Minimum of 3 Years of experience estimating commercial access control systems and camera systems.
