Job Title: Restaurant Equipment Delivery Driver & Installer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Restaurant Equipment Delivery Driver & Installer to join our team. This role is responsible for safely transporting commercial restaurant equipment to customer locations and assisting with the delivery, setup, and basic installation of equipment. The ideal candidate has strong driving skills, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company delivery vehicles to transport restaurant equipment to customer sites.
- Load, unload, and secure heavy commercial equipment (ovens, refrigerators, fryers, etc.).
- Deliver equipment on scheduled routes while maintaining timely service.
- Install and position equipment according to customer requirements and safety standards.
- Perform basic assembly, setup, and operational checks of delivered equipment.
- Use tools and equipment to assist with installation and placement.
- Communicate professionally with customers during deliveries and installations.
- Complete delivery paperwork, inspection forms, and logs accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles and equipment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and transportation regulations.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (often 100 lbs with assistance or equipment).
- Basic mechanical and installation skills.
- Experience driving box trucks or delivery vehicles MANDITORY.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours when needed.
- Must have own tools (hand tools and power tools).
- Must be willing to work in our warehouse moving and reconditioning restaurant equipment when deliveries are slow.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience delivering or installing commercial kitchen equipment.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, dollies, pallet jacks, and lift gates.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, or gas connections.
Work Environment:
- Frequent lifting, bending, and moving of large equipment.
- Work performed in warehouses, restaurants, and commercial kitchens.
- Local travel required for deliveries and installations.
