SCI is a modern, full-service state-of-the-art die assembly facility founded in 1989. We emphasize the utilization of CAD, CAM, and CNC to service domestic and foreign automotive manufactures, major Tier One suppliers, and a variety of North American stamping facilities.
Die Tryout Role:
Individuals must have proven experience in Metal Stamping and development of parts and and tooling. Ideal candidate for the Die Tryout Operator should have 5 year's experience in deep draw, Class A, Matching Metal using Hydraulic/Mechanical presses.
Position Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain tooling to support production requirements.
- Build necessary tooling, gages and fixtures that are needed by production, by engineering or quality assurance to support production requirements.
- Revise the tooling, fixtures and gages to meet engineering changes.
- Blueprint reading.
- Operation of typical tool room machines (lathe, mill, surface grinder).
- Operation of common precision measuring equipment (micrometers, height gage, calipers, etc.).
- Good understanding of basic mathematics, trigonometry and possibly compound angles.
- Understand GD&T so as to hold required tolerances.
Work Environment
Work is performed mostly in a manufacturing and or factory setting. Individuals will be regularly exposed to noise and moving mechanical parts.
