Responsibilities
- Safely operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional tow trucks, to recover and transport vehicles of all types.
- Perform automotive diagnostics and basic repairs to assess vehicle condition before towing.
- Load, unload, and secure vehicles using appropriate equipment such as straps, chains, or forklifts when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and emergency responders to coordinate vehicle recovery operations.
- Manage conflict situations professionally while maintaining a calm demeanor during stressful roadside incidents.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on tow trucks and related equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of yourself and others.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair and diagnostics.
- Proficiency in operating manual transmissions, flatbed tow trucks, and forklift equipment.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics and mechanic work enhances your ability to troubleshoot issues on-site.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically.
- Ability to load & unload vehicles efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
