Duties
The body shop estimator is responsible for estimating and pricing vehicle parts, body repairs and other related services. This position requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision in order to provide accurate estimates of costs while maintaining customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills, possess strong organizational skills, be self-motivated, organized, reliable, flexible and punctual. This person must also be comfortable working on multiple projects at once; this individual should not only enjoy challenging tasks but handle changing priorities as well.
Detailed job duties include:
- Provide accurate pricing and quotes for all vehicles.
- Prepare estimates using CCC one estimating system, including vehicle condition, body shop specifications, etc.
- Complete & submit supplements to insurance companies for approval
- Assign quotes to customers by email or in person. Provide detailed price information on each vehicle (including cost of parts) as well as other pertinent information that may be needed to make an estimate.
- Perform pre-approval inspections with clients’ prioritization before making any final decisions for scope of work.
- Order and check in parts
- Perform quality control inspections
- Complete & close tickets in CCC
Qualification
- MUST BE RELIABLE
- Must be able to complete an accurate estimate to properly repair collision damage
- Must be able to work in a car shop environment
- Ability and willingness to learn new skills, including the ability for self-improvement
- Must have excellent communication skills with customers

Pay: $50,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
