Apprentice Security Technician

The Apprentice Security Technician assists the Lead Security Technician in the installation, servicing and maintenance of access control systems, video security systems, intercom systems, electronic locking mechanisms and other physical security products. The position works to carry out the company's installation, modification and service strategies through the development and execution of best-practice technical and mechanical workflows.

***NOTE: This position is based out of Canoga Park, CA.***

• Work with front office staff — Order and track parts, materials and time spent on services.
• Maintain up-to-date working knowledge of security software and hardware.

You've got what it takes if you have...

• 1 years' experience with low voltage, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, military service, or similar.
• Successful completion of a background and driving screens, and ability to obtain an Alarm Company Employee (ACE) card.
• Effective written, verbal and interpersonal skills for summarizing and communicating findings.
• Superior attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable using power tools and hand tools.
• Ability to work at heights using a ladder and/or lift.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel and bend for extended periods of time.
• Ability to regularly lift, move and/or control up to 50 lbs.
