Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Fire Sprinkler Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. This role requires a strong understanding of fire protection systems, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of fire sprinkler systems to ensure they meet local codes and standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and system designs related to fire protection.
- Perform construction inspections to verify that installations are completed according to specifications.
- Provide field service support, including troubleshooting and repairing sprinkler systems.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively in the inspection process.
- Collaborate with other technicians and contractors to coordinate service activities.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and repairs performed on systems.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, NEC codes, and advancements in fire protection technology.
Experience
- Proven experience in fire sprinkler fitting or as a service technician in the fire protection industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in construction or field service roles.
- Familiarity with low voltage systems, sensors, and alarm systems is preferred.
- Previous experience in alarm system sales or fire alarm sales is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
