Residential Garage Door Service Technician
Pay: Clear Path to $100K — Base Pay Commission & Bonuses

Due to continued growth, Super Door Garage Door Service is adding a Residential Service Technician to our Detroit-area team.
This is a customer-facing service position focused on diagnosing, repairing, and improving existing residential garage door and opener systems. You'll typically visit multiple homes each day, identify problems, educate homeowners on their options, complete repairs, and make sure every customer receives an excellent experience.
No garage door experience is required. We're willing to train the right person. We're looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, comfortable talking with customers, motivated to perform, and wants the opportunity to build a long-term career with strong earning potential.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose and repair residential garage doors and garage door openers
- Perform safety inspections and identify worn or failing components
- Explain repair and replacement options clearly to homeowners
- Educate customers on products, services, and preventative maintenance
- Present options and help customers make informed purchasing decisions
- Complete approved repairs and installations
- Adjust and test equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation
- Repair or replace springs, rollers, cables, hardware, openers, and other components
- Maintain accurate documentation for each service call
- Keep your company vehicle, tools, and inventory organized
- Deliver an excellent customer experience from arrival through completion
What We're Looking For
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Comfortable presenting options and discussing pricing with customers
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Organized and able to manage multiple service calls throughout the day
- Reliable, professional, and customer-focused
- Able to safely lift and move 75 lbs
- Able to lift garage door sections and equipment overhead
- Comfortable working from ladders and performing physical work throughout the day
- Valid Michigan driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass required background and drug screening
