Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on Project Engineer with strong industrial and structural experience to support capital projects within a manufacturing environment. This role operates in an owner’s representative capacity, requiring both technical depth and project coordination across the full project lifecycle, from pre-FEED through commissioning and startup.
The ideal candidate brings a balance of design involvement, field support, and project execution oversight, with the ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced EPCm environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support projects across the full lifecycle, including pre-FEED, FEED, detailed engineering, construction, and commissioning.
- Participate directly in structural design and analysis for industrial manufacturing facilities.
- Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams including engineering, procurement, construction, and project controls.
- Provide on-site construction support, ensuring alignment with design intent and project requirements.
- Identify and resolve engineering deliverable gaps within stage-gate / front-end loading processes.
- Integrate competing priorities to ensure smooth project execution and delivery.
- Assist in managing scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives.
- Support development and maintenance of project baselines and execution plans.
- Collaborate with project leadership to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and support mitigation strategies.
- Participate in client interactions, reporting, and project status communications.
- Support change management processes, including scope adjustments and documentation.
- Contribute to project planning, budgeting, and scheduling efforts.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field.
- 8 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing project environments.
- Experience supporting capital projects ($1M–$400M) within an EPCm structure.
- Strong background in structural design and analysis for industrial facilities.
- Proficiency with structural analysis tools such as STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL, or ANSYS.
- Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards including ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI.
- Experience with vertical construction projects.
- Ability to work effectively in an on-site, client-facing environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
PE License (or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe):
- SE License is a plus.
- Prior experience in an owner’s representative role.
- Demonstrated ability to balance technical execution with project coordination.
