Electrical CAD Drafter (AutoCAD)Location: Irvine, CASchedule: 100% On-SiteCompensation: $28 – $38 per hour (based on experience)About the Role:We are seeking a CAD Drafter to support an engineering team working on electrical infrastructure and power delivery projects. This position focuses primarily on AutoCAD production drafting, assisting engineers by converting design markups into detailed technical drawings.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys high-quality drafting work, structured engineering environments, and supporting large infrastructure projects.Key Responsibilities:Convert engineer redline markups into accurate AutoCAD drawings.Modify and update existing engineering drawings.Produce drawings according to established CAD standards, templates, and layering structures.Ensure drawing revisions are accurate and consistent with project requirements.Collaborate with engineers to ensure the drafting work reflects the intended design updates.Maintain organization and consistency within drawing files and documentation.Most work will involve 2D drafting, with occasional exposure to 3D tools.Required Qualifications:Experience using AutoCAD for technical drafting.Experience working from engineering markups or redline revisions.Ability to follow CAD standards and structured drawing templates.Strong attention to detail and drafting accuracy.Ability to work effectively with engineering teams.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with electrical infrastructure or power related drawings.Familiarity with AutoCAD SDS (Substation Design Suite).Exposure to 3D CAD environments.Experience with MicroStation.Background in industries such as:Power utilities.Electrical engineering.Oil and gas.Refineries.Industrial electrical systems.
