Superbloom is a fast-casual restaurant and bar in Bishop, serving organic food options and local beers. We are looking for energetic, detail-oriented Team Members to join our founding team and help us build a welcoming, vibrant atmosphere for locals and travelers alike.
About the Role
As a Back of House Team Member, you are the engine of Superbloom. You will focus on preparing fresh ingredients, assembling menu items, and maintaining a clean, efficient kitchen space to deliver high-quality food quickly to our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Food Prep & Assembly: Wash, chop, batch cook, and prepare fresh, organic ingredients according to recipe guidelines and portion controls.
- Line Execution: Assemble grain bowls, salads, and other hot/cold menu items accurately and efficiently during peak rushes.
- Kitchen Station Upkeep: Keep prep lines, refrigeration, and cooking areas stocked, organized, clean, and sanitized throughout the shift.
- Dishwashing & Sanitation: Operate dishwashing equipment, sanitize utensils and prep tools, and maintain overall kitchen hygiene standards.
- Stock & Inventory: Assist with receiving deliveries, rotating stock (FIFO method), and maintaining food temperature logs.
- Teamwork: Maintain active communication with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth order flow and accuracy.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Previous kitchen experience is a plus, but we are happy to train the right person with a great attitude!
- Food Safety: Food Handler Card required (or ability to obtain one prior to start date).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, work in a warm kitchen environment, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
