2nd shift - CNC Tool Maker/ Wire EDM Programmer

Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a second shift CNC Machinist/ Wire EDM, where your expertise will drive precision and innovation in wire machining processes. Duties

• Set up, operate, and program CNC wire cutting machines utilizing Fanuc controls and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to produce precise wire components.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and schematics to ensure accurate machining processes.
• Conduct routine inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform electrical discharge machining (EDM) operations on wire EDM machines to achieve intricate cuts and complex geometries.
• Maintain machine calibration and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime while adhering to safety standards.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, tooling setups, and welding equipment as needed for assembly or finishing tasks.
• Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency and reduce waste in the machining process.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating CNC milling machines and CNC lathes with a strong understanding of Fanuc controls or similar systems.
• Skilled in CNC programming, CAM programming, and blueprint reading with a focus on precision manufacturing.
• Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM) techniques specific to wire EDM processes.
• Mechanical knowledge including tooling setup, fixture design, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks or CAD software for part design review and modifications.
• Experience working with plastics injection molding or related manufacturing environments is a plus.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines accurately.

Pay: $26.50 - $32.00 per hour
