Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will help us produce high-quality structures and parts that meet strict industry standards. Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and welding processes.
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and
welding techniques to join various metals including sheet metal. - Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components accurately.
- Operate rigging equipment such as cranes and forklifts to move heavy materials safely within the work area.
- Measure materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools; apply basic math skills for accurate fabrication.
- Fabricate custom parts by cutting, bending, welding, and assembling metal pieces according to project specifications.
- Follow ASME codes & standards for welding and fabrication practices ensuring compliance with safety and quality regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members on mechanical assembly projects
Qualifications
- Proven construction site experience or background in manufacturing or metal fabrication environments.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, FCAW welding techniques; experience with
welding preferred. - Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and machining tools.
- Strong mechanical knowledge including pipe threading, soldering, rigging, and assembly processes.
- Experience operating cranes or forklifts is highly desirable; certification is a plus.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precision fabrication.
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards relevant to welding and fabrication practices
Pay: $20.00 - $29.00 per hour
