REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Ability to make informed decisions under uncertainty, weigh multiple factors/constraints, consider long-term implications of architectural choices
• Knowledge of electronic data processing platforms and software.
• Knowledge of database/data dictionary systems and applications.
• Knowledge of application portfolio management, software design patterns, application integration, legacy system modernization, app lifecycle mgmt.
• Knowledge of data modeling, data governance, master data management, data warehousing, analytics platforms, and data quality frameworks.
• Knowledge of infrastructure components, platforms, development tools, middleware, and technology standards. Both on-prem and cloud-based tech stacks.
• Ability to prepare clear, accurate, informative reports/documentation on database systems, including creation/maintenance of data dictionary docs.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally with various levels of data center and department personnel
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to maintain essential records and files.
• Ability to learn how to utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and information systems used by the agency.
• Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of the position.
• Experience in government or regulatory environments.
• TOGAF Certification, Certified Enterprise Architect, or similar recognized enterprise architecture credentials that demonstrate formal training.
• AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certifications. Multi
• Multi-cloud experience is particularly valuable.
• Proven track record leading large-scale digital transformation initiatives, cloud migrations, or enterprise modernization programs from start to end.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern software development lifecycle practices.
• Comfort presenting to executive leadership, board members, or external stakeholders.
• Ability to communicate complex technical strategies in business terms.
