Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales and returns
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, professional assistance
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision and integrity
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about featured items or new arrivals
- Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and store sales
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability
- Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and stocktaking
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or providing support remotely
- Support in grocery store environments by ensuring cleanliness, safety, and efficient checkout processes
- Promote a positive shopping experience through clear communication and attentive service
Requirements
- Previous cashiering experience in retail or grocery store environments preferred
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customers effectively
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math calculations
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Experience supervising or leading team members is a plus but not required
- Ability to perform merchandising, stocking, and product demonstration tasks confidently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Knowledge of retail sales techniques including upselling strategies
- Demonstrated phone etiquette and professional communication skills
