Full-Time Nanny Needed – Hillsborough, NJ 08844
A loving family is seeking a caring, engaging, and reliable nanny to care for their 2.5-year-old in a structured yet child-led environment. The family also has a 5-year-old who is typically in school/daycare, with care primarily focused on the younger child.
Position Details:
Location: Hillsborough, NJ 08844
Start Date: As soon as possible, ideally by September 1st, 2026
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40–45 hours per week (40 hours guaranteed)
Typical hours fall between 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM (with occasional variations)
No driving required
One or both parents may be working from home at times
About the Children:
The primary focus will be on the 2.5-year-old, who follows a consistent routine and naps independently for 1.5 hours daily. The 5-year-old is usually in school but may be home occasionally (holidays, sick days, or briefly at the beginning/end of the day).
Starting in the fall, responsibilities will expand slightly to include getting the older child on/off the bus and supervising both children for 1–2 hours in the afternoon.
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, nurturing care and engage in age-appropriate, developmentally supportive activities
- Encourage outdoor time, including walks and active play
- Maintain a structured yet flexible routine, supporting naps and daily transitions
- Keep children’s areas tidy and assist with child-related tasks (meal prep, laundry, organization)
- Ensure a safe, calm, and engaging environment
- Remain fully present and engaged during care hours
Pets: 2 dogs, no care required.
Ideal Candidate:
- Has experience with toddlers and understands early childhood development
- Is proactive, energetic, and enjoys staying active with children
- Is attentive, hands-on, and minimizes personal phone use while working
- Comfortable supporting independent sleep routines and occasional resettling
- Communicates clearly and works collaboratively with parents
- Has reliable transportation and lives 30 minutes within Hillsborough, NJ
- Non-smoker
Compensation & Benefits:
$25–35 per hour depending on experience
