Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping journey
- Assist customers with product recommendations, including conducting product demos when appropriate
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for retail sales transactions and cash handling
- Maintain organized merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts
- Upsell products by highlighting promotions and new arrivals to boost sales
- Ensure store cleanliness and organization, including restocking shelves and managing inventory levels
- Follow phone etiquette standards when answering inquiries or assisting via phone communication
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about new or popular items
- Manage retail math calculations for transactions, discounts, and pricing adjustments
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably in grocery or liquor stores, is highly desirable
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership and team coordination skills
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail math calculations ensures smooth transactions
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, enhance customer interactions
- Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demos supports effective store presentation
- Knowledge of grocery store operations and retail sales transactions strengthens overall performance
