Job Summary
The Asset Protection Agent is responsible for protecting company assets, ensuring the safety and security of customers and associates, and reducing shrink throughout assigned Super King Markets locations. The Agent conducts surveillance, investigates theft and policy violations, enforces company procedures, and partners with store leadership to maintain a safe shopping and working environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Monitor sales floor, stockroom, and parking areas to detect theft, fraud, or suspicious activity.
· Conduct internal and external theft investigations in accordance with company policy and California law.
· Apprehend shoplifters safely and professionally when warranted.
· Document incidents accurately through detailed written reports and evidence collection.
· Maintain communication with Store Directors, department managers, and local law enforcement.
· Participate in daily store walks and identify operational and safety concerns.
· Support in-store audits and compliance reviews.
· Provide ongoing loss prevention and safety awareness training to store associates.
· Maintain confidentiality and integrity during investigations and interactions with employees.
· Assist with alarm, CCTV, and report equipment issues.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior loss prevention experience in theft apprehensions is preferred.
Must possess the ability to make good sound decisions under stressful situations.
Must be able to stand/walk the sales floor for the entire scheduled shift.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays appropriate to retail business needs.
Must be at least 18.
Physical Demands:
May also have to do some light lifting of supplies and materials from time to time.
Requires prolonged standing.
This position requires travel between locations in the district based on business needs, multi store location position must be available to travel.
Typical physical demands or activities include up to 6 to 8 hours standing/walking.
Occasional climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and at times using reasonable physical contact in order to execute an arrest within the company guidelines and law.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
