Responsibilities
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems to process transactions swiftly and accurately
- Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with precision
- Greet customers warmly, providing exceptional customer service and support
- Assist customers with product questions and perform product demos when appropriate
- Upsell additional items or services to enhance the customer’s shopping experience
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves and organizing displays
- Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
Experience
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling tasks
- Strong communication skills and phone etiquette for engaging with customers effectively
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs
- Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities within the team
- Experience in grocery stores or retail environments involving merchandising and stocking is beneficial
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products and provide excellent customer service
