Duties
- Prepare high-quality menu items with attention to food safety and sanitation standards
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders accurately and efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders, and addressing inquiries with enthusiasm
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions with accuracy, including cash handling and basic math skills for change calculations
- Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and ensuring the dining area is inviting
- Follow food handling procedures and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff
- Assist in food prep in the kitchen or café area, supporting culinary operations as needed
- Support team members during busy periods by managing multiple tasks such as cashiering, serving, or food prep
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or quick service restaurants is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math applications
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in culinary roles or kitchen environments is advantageous
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks required in restaurant settings
- Retail or grocery store experience can be beneficial for understanding inventory management and serving customers
