As our wonderful Meat Market Manager prepares to take a step back from management and transition into a part-time role, we're looking for someone special to step into his shoes!
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Meat Market Manager to lead our meat department. This is a full-time position requiring a dynamic individual who is passionate about the grocery industry and dedicated to maintaining high standards of service and operations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the meat market, ensuring efficient workflow and compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Achieve sales and profitability targets while controlling costs and maintaining inventory levels.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and addressing their needs in a courteous, fast, and helpful manner.
- Develop, train, and retain a high-performing team, fostering a positive work environment.
- Maintain safety standards and ensure all employees are properly trained in safe practices.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and serviced.
- Manage scheduling to ensure adequate staffing during weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of meat market experience in the retail grocery industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team.
- Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
