Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Mechanic to join our manufacturing facility team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and machinery to ensure optimal operational performance. Duties

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatic systems, and electrical components.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using schematics, blueprints, and engineering troubleshooting techniques.
• Repair or replace defective parts using welding (including welding), precision measuring instruments, and other mechanical tools.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately.
• Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, maintenance history, and inventory management.
• Conduct electrical diagnostics involving high voltage and low voltage systems using ammeters, ohmmeters, and other testing devices.
• Support field service operations by providing technical assistance on-site or remotely to resolve equipment failures quickly.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations related to industrial maintenance, HVAC/R systems, and high-voltage electrical work.
• Assist in the installation of new machinery or upgrades while ensuring adherence to engineering specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to analyze failure modes and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working in a manufacturing facility or industrial maintenance environment with a strong mechanical background.
• Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electrician skills, and troubleshooting pneumatic systems.
• Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and inventory control.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, welding (including welding), and precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately.
• Strong analysis skills combined with troubleshooting expertise in electrical diagnostics involving high voltage and low voltage systems.
• Experience with industrial mechanics, electrical diagnostics, field service operations, and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication skills in English for effective teamwork and customer service interactions.
• Additional assets include military experience, knowledge of engineering troubleshooting methods, experience with scissor lifts or similar equipment, and familiarity with schematics related to manufacturing machinery.
