Job Description
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Housekeeping
- Cleans rooms, hallways, lobby, stairway and other work areas.
- Cleans carpeting, upholstered furniture and other items using vacuum cleaner.
- Dusts furniture and equipment.
- Empties and cleans wastebaskets.
- Sweeps, scrubs, polishes floors, using brooms, mops, and/or powered cleaning machines.
- Collects soiled linens for laundering and receives and stores clean linen supplies in linen closet.
- Polishes metal work such as fixtures and fittings.
- Washes walls, ceiling and woodwork.
- Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
- Transports trash and waste to disposal area(s).
- Turns in lost and found items to supervisor following guidelines for documentation of items.
- Restocks carts at shift end, restock linen and storage areas.
- Maintains organization of storage areas and carts.
