Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Hotel Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance skills, with experience in residential painting, welding, and working with schematics. This role requires leadership qualities, customer service orientation, and the ability to supervise maintenance activities effectively. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance to uphold high standards of safety, functionality, and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on hotel systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair issues using schematics, electrical experience, and mechanical knowledge
- Operate tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to identify faults
- Perform residential painting and welding tasks as needed for facility repairs
- Manage facilities maintenance requests efficiently using CMMS software
- Supervise maintenance staff or contractors during projects or repairs
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes at all times
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs
- Assist in supervising the upkeep of hotel common areas to ensure a clean, safe environment for guests and staff
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns related to facility issues promptly
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within a hospitality or manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and electrical systems
- Skilled in welding, residential painting, and mechanical repairs
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and diagrams
- Experience with CMMS or other maintenance management software is preferred
- Familiarity with the use of ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective team coordination and customer service
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong troubleshooting skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues quickly and accurately
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $11.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
