We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Demand Planner to join our supply chain team. Duties
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using advanced forecasting techniques and statistical models.
- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, manufacturing, and logistics teams to gather insights and align demand plans with business objectives.
- Utilize tools such as SAP APO, SAP ERP, Oracle, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, SAS, R, and JD Edwards to analyze data trends and generate actionable insights.
- Conduct root cause analysis for forecast variances and implement corrective actions to improve forecast accuracy.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement teams to optimize inventory management and reduce excess stock or shortages.
- Support production planning by providing demand inputs that influence manufacturing schedules and capacity planning.
- Analyze sales data from Nielsen reports and other sources to identify trends, seasonality, and opportunities for demand shaping.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies like Six Sigma to enhance forecasting processes and supply chain operations.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on demand forecasts, supply chain analytics, and inventory performance for senior management review.
Skills
- Proficiency in supply chain management principles including demand planning, inventory control, logistics, and procurement.
- Strong data analysis skills with experience in SQL, R, SAS, Power BI, Tableau or similar analytics tools.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP (including SAP APO), Oracle, JD Edwards, SAP ERP systems for integrated planning.
- Knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems and production planning processes.
- Experience working with Nielsen data or other market research tools for sales analysis.
- Expertise in root cause analysis techniques to identify issues within the supply chain or forecasting process.
- Ability to interpret complex datasets related to manufacturing, product management, and supply chain analytics.
- Excellent communication skills to present findings clearly and collaborate effectively across departments.
