Senior Project Engineer / Project Manager (8-12 Years Experience)

Suozzo, Doty & Associates Professional Engineering, PLLC (SDA) is seeking a Senior Project Engineer / Project Manager with 8–12 years of experience to join our growing team. Our offices are located in Bolton Landing and Lake Placid, New York, and this position may be based in either location.
SDA is a full-service civil and environmental engineering firm serving public, private, institutional, and non-profit clients. This role offers the opportunity to lead meaningful infrastructure and environmental projects while working closely with firm leadership and mentoring junior staff.
Role Description
Serve as the technical lead and project manager on a variety of projects, including:
- Water supply, distribution, and treatment systems
- Wastewater conveyance and treatment systems
- Stormwater management and green infrastructure design
- Municipal facilities and recreation facility design
- Environmental benefit projects
- Site development projects
Additional responsibilities include:
- Managing project schedules, budgets, and client coordination
- Preparing engineering reports, calculations, and modeling
- Developing engineering plans, specifications, and permitting documents
- Conducting field investigations to support design
- Supporting bidding and construction contract administration
- Mentoring junior engineering staff
- Assisting with preparation of project proposals
Qualifications
- 8–12 years of experience in civil or environmental engineering
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Experience managing projects, budgets, and schedules
- Experience with AutoCAD / Civil 3D preferred
- Familiarity with modeling software such as HydroCAD, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, or similar programs is a plus
